Experience comfort in your home with Air Conditioning

Air conditioning installation or an air conditioner in the form of an air-to-air heat pump is extremely suitable for cooling and heating your home. To save energy and make the most of your system, it is essential that the air conditioning installation is done correctly. For professional installation, it is best to rely on an experienced air conditioning installer. This way, you can enjoy your air conditioning system for many years!

We offer tailor-made
air conditioning solutions

Heating with fossil fuels is harmful to the environment. An air conditioner in the form of an air-to-air heat pump provides a sustainable alternative that heats and cools more efficiently. Heating with this type of heat pump ensures at least 60% less CO2 emissions. With global warming and the race against time to keep the temperature rise below 2°C, investing in an energy-efficient air conditioning system is a smart choice! This way, we can all contribute to a livable planet for ourselves and future generations. To optimize your comfort, we can design a tailor-made solution, even in the most complex situations. How an Air Conditioner works?

The operation of an air conditioner is the same as that of a refrigerator. An air conditioning system extracts heat from indoor air through a heat exchanger. An air conditioner primarily works with air, which is unlimitedly and freely available. The required dose of electricity can then be perfectly generated with the installation of photovoltaic solar panels.

Different types of systems:

The simplest split air conditioner is the single split air conditioner. This type of air conditioner consists of one inner part connected to one outer part and is mainly suitable for controlling the climate in one indoor room. Depending on your wishes, a single split air conditioner is available as a wall, floor, duct or ceiling model.

With a Multi split system, several (maximum 6) indoor units are connected to one outdoor unit. Several indoor spaces can be cooled or heated. You can switch, so during the day you can cool in the living room or office and at night in the bedroom. Multi-split systems take up less space outside than two separate split systems.

Here too you can choose various wall, floor, ceiling and duct models. These can be combined with each other and can function independently of each other. For example, if you want a wall model in one room and a floor model in another room, that is no problem.

Ceiling air conditioning units have many advantages:

  • They are largely invisible
  • They do not take up additional space
  • They operate with energy efficiency
  • They are very quiet

Wall air conditioning is a very popular type of air conditioning, thanks to its easy installation and favorable price. There is also good air distribution because the indoor unit is hung up. The air conditioner is not in the way, and you are not bothered by air exhaust.

Floor units are quick and easy to install and provide pleasant coolness. This type of air conditioning does not have an outdoor unit, but it does have an air outlet to the outside.

The importance of the right capacity and model

Choosing the right air conditioner is important to keep your costs down, but you obviously need to choose a system with a power output suited to your home. If you choose too low a power output, you will have to push your air conditioner to the limit to achieve the desired temperature in your house or flat. Due to the high speed, energy consumption (and therefore your electricity costs) will skyrocket. Your air conditioner will also last considerably less this way.

If you buy a system with too much power, you will pay too much. Not only because of the higher purchase price, but also because the system consumes more and you never use that extra capacity.

So always choose an air-conditioning system with an appropriate capacity. Not only will you save energy, your installation will also last longer and guarantee optimal living comfort.

The ideal output for an air-conditioning system depends on many factors. The most important one is the total surface area you want to cool. Calculating this is easy: For each room, multiply the length by the width and add up the results.

Finally, all you need to know is the approximate number of watts per square metre (see below) and you can calculate the total power required for your air conditioner. Note that such a calculation is only an approximation, as the required power of an air conditioner still depends on other factors, such as:

  • The quality of thermal insulation
  • The better insulated a house is, the less heat will enter and the lower the airco’s capacity may be.
  • The number of openings in the façade
  • Openings like doors and windows are weak spots in the insulation envelope of a house or flat. The more openings there are, the easier heat can enter and the more powerful the air conditioner needs to be to maintain a comfortable temperature.
  • Your own behaviour as a user
  • Do you want a cool temperature in your home day and night? Then choose a more powerful air-conditioning system that gives you the comfort you want.
  • Overheating
  • Does your home overheat quickly during the summer? Even then, a powerful air conditioner is recommended.
  • The orientation of the building
  • Large windows on the south side of the house cause indoor temperatures to rise quickly, so it is best to opt for a higher capacity.
